Expect the unexpected at the new Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort. epicure takes a closer look at this new resort in Bali.
The new Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort draws its inspiration from the grand theatrics of traditional Balinese dances. The stylish bathroom also features a freestanding ivory bathtub, setting the stage for a movie star-style escape. Between the luxurious king size bed, cosy seating overlooking the sea at the balcony, and a delightful Hollywood travelling trunk-styled mini-bar amenities, leaving the room is entirely optional.

The mismatched tables and chairs, industrial décor, graffitied exposed brick walls mirror the hotel’s theatrical concept aptly. However, the star of the show is the food.
Breakfast is an a la carte, casual affair. Guests are spoilt with a myriad of tasty nosh, be it the Classic (Egg Benedict), the Modern such as Rise and Shine (waffle and fried chicken, sweet potato crisp and palm sugar syrup), or the Indigenous (Balinese Rice Congee). Customise your own juice, sip your latte and have a leisurely breakfast from 6.30am to 11am.
The lunch and dinner menu feature vibrant Indonesian, Asian and international fare. Highlights include Crispy Soft Shell Crab Nori Taco, Black Ink Fettucine, Backstage Signature Nasi Campur, and Ubud Chocolate Matcha Cake. The resort will open three more dining venues this year. Walking down the aisle takes a whole new meaning when the bride crosses the paved stone walkway to reach her groom, witnessed by their dearest and nearest from The Cove’s tribune above. After all, intimate and private (and of course, romantic) weddings are the new normal.
