Sheraton Grand Jakarta Gandaria City Hotel will embark on a chef collaboration with Jung Chan Dining from 6 to 9 July 2023. The first-ever collaboration will introduce the royal essence of fine Korean dining to Jakarta. Nestled in Bandung, Jung Chan Dining, exposes chef Jung Chan Hyuk’s culinary prowess and rich culinary heritage from Jindo, Korea. Notably, he personally curates and masterfully ferments the ingredients in his kitchen, elevating the culinary experience to extraordinary height.
After graduating from Le Cordon Bleu Australia in Sydney, he achieved significant acclaim as one of the top 11 contestants in Master Chef Korea Season 4. Inspired by his grandmother’s exquisite mastery of fresh seafood, chef Jung’s culinary style embodies a remarkable fusion of tradition and innovation.
In 2022, chef Jung selected Bandung as the home for his restaurant. He believes that the city has ideal fermentation climate that echoes the vibrant seasons of spring and autumn in Korea. From Jung Chan Dining, he delivers an unparalleled gastronomic experience that lingers in the senses with his treasured ancestral recipes.
Executive Chef Denny Gunawan, the culinary mastermind behind Sheraton Grand Jakarta, shares the same unwavering enthusiasm for Korean cuisine. With over 14 years of culinary mastery, Chef Denny leads his culinary team in Sheraton Grand Jakarta, Gandaria City. His profound connection and appreciation to Korean culture is also deepened by his marriage to a Korean spouse.
