Toast to Prosperity: Glenfiddich Chinese New Year ‘A Gift for Blossoming Futures’ Limited Edition Gift Set
Sip into the Year of the Wood Dragon with the Glenfiddich Chinese New Year limited edition gift set, featuring its award-winning aged whisky.
As the Chinese New Year is fast approaching, we will bid farewell to the Year of the Water Rabbit and welcome the Year of the Wood Dragon with even more hope and prosperity to fill the year with. To honour the blooming of the new chapter with the Wood Dragon, Scotland’s famed whisky brand, Glenfiddich, presents its Chinese New Year limited edition gift set, ‘A Gift for Blossoming Futures.’
In collaboration with multidisciplinary artist Raku Inoue, Glenfiddich shows a new facet to its signature icon, the Glenfiddich Stag, influenced by the resplendent Wood Dragon, beckoning growth and auspicious future. The gift set is enveloped within the vibrant packaging, showcasing Raku Inoue’s distinct artistic flair representing festivity and warmth.
A legendary creature, Wood Dragons are born leaders, their spirits reminiscent of Glenfiddich pioneers. As a native earth element, wood personifies growth and the flowering of new life. In homage to this mythical creature, this year, the Glenfiddich Stag has been inspired by the Wood Dragon- from the leaves of the forest, symbolising an auspicious future in full bloom ahead.
The limited edition gift set features the Reserva Rum Cask 21, a coveted multiple “Double Gold” award-winning aged whisky, finished in Caribbean rum-soaked casks, renowned for the spicy warmth and indulgent notes of vanilla and toffee. Moreover, the limited-edition gifts showcase the authentic and superior core range, featuring 12, 15, and 18 Year Old variations, each presented in gift packs with a bottle and accompanying whisky-nosing glasses.
“Chinese New Year represents growth and renewal, and what better symbol than nature. My aim was to take you on a journey to the great outdoors, harnessing some of the most magnificent elements. Fu Lu, the Glenfiddich Stag, is formed and crafted petal by petal, element by element from natural materials and fitting to this auspicious moment in time.” stated the Montreal-based artist Raku Inoue.
With its storied past that goes back to 1887 in Dufftown, Scotland, where it was first founded, Glenfiddich has become a trailblazing Scotland’s single malt whisky to be introduced to the international market. Now selling across over 180 countries, the distillery is set to open its Chinese New Year Pop-up in Indonesia on 30 January – 4 February at the Red & White Wine and Spirits Chinese New Year Fair 2024, Central Park Mall, Jakarta.
