The Legend Lives On: Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta Celebrates Indonesia’s Storied Past
Unveiling a tapestry of Indonesia's vibrant past, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta launches its 2024 campaign: The Legend Lives On.
True to its name that beckons the historical tapestry of the archipelago, this year, Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta celebrates its heritage with a year-long brand campaign, The Legend Lives On. This history-rich brand campaign shows the luxury hotel’s profound commitment to preserving and promoting the diverse culture of Indonesia. From culinary rotation programmes to a narrative journey by a skilled storyteller, guests are in for a captivating experience during their stays at the resort.
Dedicated to preserving and celebrating cultural heritage, this initiative unveils various enticing programmes. Foodies can embark on a bimonthly culinary adventure, savouring a curated selection of dishes inspired by the legendary Mustikarasa cookbook. For those seeking cultural immersion, The Curator guides guests on a captivating narrative journey, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Indonesia’s history. Additionally, collaborations with esteemed partners bring vibrant performances to the hotel.
The Mustikarasa culinary journey derives from the cookbook initiated by the founding father of Indonesia, Ir. Soekarno. In the programme, the hotel presents an array of Indonesian cuisines that emerged in Jakarta from its days as Sunda Kelapa port city. As a trade hub, the city welcomed many cultures from China, India, Arab, and Europe, influencing local cuisine.
Through Mustikarasa offering, guests have the opportunity to indulge in the fusion dishes as seen in the book, including Betawi-China meals for May and June, Betawi-Arab dishes in July, Betawi-India menu in September and October, and Betawi-Europe cuisine in November and December. As for August, the resort offers Ende local cuisine, symbolising President Soekarno’s days in Ende, Flores.
Throughout the campaign, a dedicated ambassador of cultural knowledge will grace the resort for guests who seek to understand Indonesian history more deeply. Led by The Curator, guests can embark on a captivating journey of historical storytelling, uncovering the country’s vibrant past. From the mysteries of ancient traditions to the secrets behind local customs, The Curator offers expert guidance and insights, illuminating historical topics that pique guests’ curiosity.
The urban hotel also organises collaborations with special partners to present exciting performances and experiences to life. One of them is an orchestra performance where guests can enjoy anecdotes of the past through music, art, and storytelling. The hotel’s commitment to promoting Indonesia’s storied past is evident through these partnerships and collaborations.
Moreover, The Legend Lives On brand campaign extends to the hotel’s amenities for guests during their stays in Hotel Indonesia Kempinski Jakarta. Planned to launch in quarter four of 2024, the guest rooms will be transformed into something extraordinary where timeless luxury and contemporary designs are interwoven to match the theme.
