The Four Seasons Seoul’s Apple Mango Pavlova Bingsu, for instance, reaches a cool 126,000won (S$126), compared to an average price of 15,900won (S$15.90) at a chain bingsu store like Sulbing. But before you write it off completely, consider what makes these luxury bingsu so special. The bingsu portions at these locations are generous, designed for sharing, and boast unique flavour combinations and textures that elevate the experience beyond a simple snow cone. Inyoung Moon, Four Seasons Hotel Seoul’s director of public relations and communications, assures: “The high cost reflects the premium ingredients.” She adds, “Bingsu is enjoyed by many Koreans during the season and has recently become a beloved summer treat for international visitors as well.”

So, if you are in Seoul this summer and want to experience a truly decadent Korean dessert, bingsu is definitely worth considering. From luxurious takes with upscale fruits to refreshing takes on classic Korean flavours, here are some incredible options to tantalise your tastebuds.
