MILKLAB Brings Premium Plant-Based Barista Milk to Bali
MILKLAB, Australia’s top plant-based barista milk brand, launches its Bali expansion with the MILKLAB Bali Blitz, expert workshops, and the EXPAT X MILKLAB Barista Battle.
MILKLAB, recognised as Australia’s leading brand for plant-based barista milk, has embarked on an exciting new chapter by introducing its range to Bali’s thriving coffee culture.
Founded in 2015, the brand has built its reputation on delivering premium plant-based milk options that blend seamlessly with coffee. By working closely with baristas and café owners, it has developed products designed to meet the specific needs of coffee professionals and enthusiasts alike. With options such as Almond, Oat, Soy, Coconut, and Macadamia milk, the brand provides a variety of choices to suit different tastes and dietary preferences.
The Bali Initiatives
Central to MILKLAB’s presence in Bali is the MILKLAB Bali Blitz, where the brand engages directly with local cafés to introduce its plant-based milks. Through this initiative, the Australian brand seeks to establish lasting partnerships and encourage café owners to join its MILKLAB Cafe Collab Program, which officially launches on 26 November. This program is geared towards providing cafés with new ways to incorporate its products, enriching their menu offerings while promoting sustainability in the industry.
Highlighting the month is an exclusive workshop featuring Anthony Douglas, the 2022 World Barista Champion and a MILKLAB ambassador. This event will offer participants the chance to gain insights from a world-renowned barista as he demonstrates techniques for creating standout coffee beverages using the plant-based milks. Scheduled for 25 November at PT. Kurnia Mitra Duta Sentosa’s showroom in Kuta, the workshop invites both seasoned baristas and those new to the field to elevate their skills.
Additionally, the EXPAT X MILKLAB Barista Battle 2024, co-hosted with Expat. Roasters on 26 November, will bring together baristas from across Indonesia to compete for a substantial prize pool of over Rp50 million. The event will not only showcase talent but also highlight the potential of using plant-based milks in creative coffee-making. A distinguished judging panel, including Anthony Douglas and other industry leaders, will assess participants based on their technique, innovation, and presentation.
Building a Collaborative Community
With community and collaboration as key elements of its mission, MILKLAB’s expansion into Bali represents a step forward in promoting sustainable and inclusive coffee culture. This initiative aims to build a network of establishments dedicated to offering diverse, quality, plant-based options to their customers.
