Exclusive Sundowner Session with DJ Danny Rampling

Calling all of the house music enthusiasts: mark your calendars on 14 September. From 4pm to 7pm, the resort’s private beach will host an exclusive sundowner session with the iconic London-based DJ Danny Rampling.

Rampling will bring his distinct sound to the beautiful shores of Bali for this event, called the Ibiza Sundowner Beats with DJ Danny Rampling at Karma Beach. Renowned for his role in the acid house explosion and as a pioneer in the UK dance scene, Rampling brings decades of musical mastery and iconic performances to the island’s beloved beach.

Rampling’s journey from having an Ibizan epiphany to becoming a founding father of UK dance music is the stuff of legend. His London club night, Shoom, became the epicentre of the acid house explosion, introducing a generation to a new world of sound and sensation. The scene quickly migrated from clubs to fields, warehouses, and forests across the UK—the acid house revolution. It’s hard to overstate Rampling’s influence on music and dance culture in the UK and worldwide.

Some 35 years after that seminal trip to Ibiza, he’s still as passionate about the music and the scene as ever—which is why we’re hugely excited. The Warung Pantai beachside bistro at Karma Kandara

Good news for those who love to eat good food while enjoying the beach. The resort’s private beach facility has just launched a new beachside bistro called Warung Pantai.

Created by Karma Group’s global executive chef Joseph Antonishek at the end of August 2024, it serves as a happy addition to Uluwatu’s beach dining scene. The resort’s latest dining outlet promises to bring a new culinary experience to its guests by blending a vibrant Pan-Asian cuisine with the beautiful beachside backdrop. 

The beach bistro presents a number of dishes from a number of different Asian countries, inspired by the chef’s travels through Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, India, and Indonesia. Expect an unique twist to each of these dishes. 

Highlights include delicious starters like Jumbo Crab Summer Rolls with passionfruit dipping sauce and Cambodian Fish Cakes and Thai Crispy Mushrooms. Don’t forget to try the Kerala Chicken Moilee, Malaysian Asam Laksa, and a Vietnamese-inspired Pork Tomahawk Chop for the main course. Save room for sweet treats such as Pineapple Rum Crème Brûlé and Milo Panna Cotta.

Various accolades from the 2024 Haute Grandeur Excellence Awards

Cementing its reputation in the hospitality industry, the resort also secured five accolades at the 2024 Haute Grandeur Excellence Awards, both for its property and restaurants.

The awards that the resort received for its properties are: the best beach villa (Asia), the best beach resort (Indonesia), the best boutique villa (Indonesia), the best family resort (Indonesia), as well as the best general manager (Indonesia) for Karma Kandara’s general manager Shaun Dünhofen.

Meanwhile, the awards that it received for its restaurants are: the best cocktail presentation on a global level, best health and wellness cuisine on a global level, best Indonesian cuisine on a global level and best gourmet cuisine (Asia) as well as the best head chef in Asia for Joseph Antonishek.
