Bali’s Café Scene Heats Up with MILKLAB Café Creation 2025

From foamy flat whites to plant-based iced lattes, Bali’s coffee culture is brewing up a creative storm as MILKLAB Café Creation 2025 returns, celebrating the island’s most visionary cafés and their inventive drinks. This year’s competition invited baristas from across the island to craft signature beverages using MILKLAB’s plant-based milk range, and now it’s time for the public to crown the Top 12.

MILKLAB presents free coffee pop-ups this August

Twenty-three drinks from twenty cafés have been shortlisted, each blending flavour, story, and stunning presentation. Voting is open from 20 July to 15 August 2025, and coffee lovers can vote for up to three favourites via the official site. Not only does your vote support your go-to café, but it also enters you into a lucky draw with IDR 1,000,000 net cash prizes for five winners.

As part of the festivities, MILKLAB teams up with Wheel Brews, Bali’s cult-favourite coffee truck, for a week-long pop-up café tour at two of Bali’s busiest lifestyle destinations. Visitors can enjoy free coffee made with MILKLAB at Living World Mall from 21 to 27 July and Level 21 Mall from 28 July to 3 August. Coffee will be served on weekdays from 4pm to 8pm and weekends from 3pm to 8pm – the perfect pick-me-up for Bali’s caffeine aficionados.

MILKLAB Café Creation 2025 in Bali culminates in a live Final Showdown on 27 August 2025, where the top 12 cafés will compete before an esteemed panel of judges, including 2022 World Barista Champion Anthony Douglas, Willy Sidewalk, and Expat Roasters’ Yande J. Wirawan, among others. Finalists will be evaluated on aesthetics, storytelling, flavour, and overall experience, with top prizes including up to IDR 10,000,000 in cash and a one-year MILKLAB supply.
