Sitting atop Shaw House with Singapore's first IMAX theatre, Cine Cafe and Canele are the only two remaining dine-in establishments on Level 5 after the revamp. But regular patrons are unlikely to feel shortchanged with the wide mix of food from the Les Amis Group outlets. In addition to providing a space with button-back banquette and silver French designer Tolix chairs to tuck into pre and post-movie treats like XO Sauce Lo Shi Fun ($12), Cine Cafe offers quick takeaway options in exchange for over-the-counter popcorn: fries cloaked in a blanket of melted cheese ($6), and 9-inch chicken hot dogs topped with a generous mound of chilli con carne ($10.50).
An All-day Dining Special Promotion separates Canele on Level 5 from its sister restaurant downstairs, where two or three-course prix fixe meals (from $24.50) include signature items such as Provencal Chicken Stew and Braised Beef Stew in Red Wine. The pastry delicatessen flaunts an eye catching vitrine amid plush purple seats, brimming with artisanal dessert creations to end things on a sweet note.
