The surrounding verdant hill and mesmerising sound of the forest is also yours to be had as you sit back and sip your cocktail. The newly refurbished restaurant highlights the locale, from its craftsmanship to its modern take on Indonesian cuisine.

Manadonese Cakalang Woku a la The Kelusa, Samsara Ubud

Helmed by executive chef Iwan Sutrisno, The Kelusa’s new menu highlights locally-sourced ingredients and authentic Indonesian regional flavours – with the chef’s own unique twist. Savour dishes such as the aromatic tuna salad Sambal Be Tongkol, Cakalang Woku and Gethuk. The latter is an arresting take on Javanese’s cassava cake made of vanilla custard, mixed nut crumble, and vanilla ice cream.

Pair the dishes with wine from the well-stocked cellar or opt for the signature cocktails. From Samsara Snifter (tequila, house-made lemongrass and ginger infusion, ginger beer, and vanilla passion foam) to the classic Old Fashioned, let the bartenders impress you with their creations.
