The kitchen presents an exquisite seven-course menu that brings together the best of East and West flavours and cooking techniques. Available on Sunday 18 June only, innovative dishes include Hokkaido scallop ceviche, bursting with the umami flavours of chilli lime and yuzu pearl caviar. Savour a velvety lobster bisque, elevated with a delicate cognac foam and chunks of lobster, followed by the saikyo black cod, grilled to juicy perfection.
The main course offers two choices – braised wagyu short rib served with truffle potato galettes, grilled baby carrots and foie gras; or duo of duck leg, a masterful marriage of duck confit and bonbons paired with grilled romaine and mashed potato. Wrap up the meal with the chocolate banana dome, complemented with a sea salt caramel almond gelato and delicate honeycomb tuile. Bistecca Tuscan Steakhouse
This relaxed Italian eatery at Mohamed Sultan Road – which specialises in traditional Tuscan-style steaks and authentic Italian fare – is offering a limited-edition Chateaubriand dinner specially for Father’s Day celebration (available from 16 to 18 June from 5.30pm onwards).
Alongside the a la carte service, guests may opt for a special 560g Signature Tenderloin Chateaubriand, served with maitake mushrooms, grilled asparagus and green peppercorn sauce au Poivre ($208 – shareable for two). The sumptuous five-course Father’s Day menu ($188 per person) kicks off with a premium starter platter comprising signature dishes such as the tender barbecue Iberico pork, apple wood-roasted 42 days Peking duck roll, and a splendid dim sum platter of traditional Iberico pork Shanghainese soup dumplings and South Australian scallop, prawn, hot & sour Shanghainese soup dumplings. Honour the man of the hour with a smorgasbord of delights from Shangri-La Singapore. One- Michelin-starred Shang Palace offers an elevated experience with specially curated six-course menus. Scrumptious dim sum highlights include traditional barbecued pork belly glazed with honey sauce, as well as steamed crystal dumplings. The set dinner has even more indulgent delicacies – main courses include braised four-head whole African abalone and seasonal vegetables in abalone sauce. The set menus are available on 18 June 2023 at $138 per person for lunch and $188 per person for dinner.
Alternatively, opt for lunch at Origin Grill, where Chef de Cuisine Nathan Griffin rolls out a four-course set featuring charcoal-fired flavours. Kicking things off is smoked Tsarskaya oyster followed by appetisers ranging from the foie gras terrine with cep meringue and porcini powder to grilled octopus tartare with spiced miso hummus and pomegranate. The highlight is the 300-days grass-fed Stanbroke Flinders Beef Tenderloin, grilled to smoky perfection and finished with a red wine jus. The lunch set is available on 18 June at $98 per person. Goodwood Park Hotel
Spend quality time with dad at Goodwork Park Hotel, where a selection of feasts await throughout the weekend of 17 and 18 June. Gordon Grill will be serving a European five-course dinner menu ($168 per person). Highlights include a Seafood Medley featuring home-cured Norwegian salmon loin, soy jelly, and trout roe; Hokkaido scallop ceviche; grilled Cajun tiger prawn. For mains, choose between Creekstone prime black angus fillet, or the oven-baked black cod fillet and pan-seared Hokkaido scallop.
If dad prefers Cantonese and Sichuan flavours, Min Jiang offers three set menus for lunch and dinner ($88, $108, $138 per person). Indulge in poached salted Silver Hill Irish duck with marinated homemade beancurd, and Shanghai-style double-boiled whole chicken soup with lobster dumpling.
