The cheese dome platter, forged from sturdy acacia wood, is oiled to ensure its resistance to moisture and rot. A borosilicate glass dome forms a non-porous cloche that remains flavour-neutral even when used to store fruits, pastries or the most pungent of cheeses. While protecting the latter’s natural aromas, the cover also serves as a seal, protecting surrounding contents from odour contamination as the cheese chills in the refrigerator, or breathes at room temperature when served as a pre-dessert course.
