La Tartufata – A Truffle Celebration at Prego
'Tis the season to be merry with Prego's truffle-tastic seasonal menu.
It's truffle season and Prego is one of the best places for you to indulge in these highly-prized winter truffles from the central Umbria region in Italy. Chef de cuisine Antonio Facchinetti has created a special seasonal menu that boasts eight decadent and luxurious truffle-infused creations ranging from handmade pastas, risotto and even truffle desserts. Each dish on this seasonal menu is served with 2 grams of shaved black truffles; extra shavings are possible for an additional price.
For appetisers, we recommend starting off with the fresh Burrata with Belgian endives and hazelnuts ($38) and the indulgent Foie Gras e Capesante ($40); the latter consists of foie gras, sweet pan-seared scallop, velvety potatoes and rosemary gravy. Pasta lovers will relish the homemade Passatelli Con Funghi with wild mushrooms, and the hearty Strangozzi Alla Norcina with Italian sausage, cream and white onions ($46 each). If you love rice based dishes, try the Risotto Zucca e Anatra where luscious slices of succulent duck breast sit atop pumpkin risotto before black truffle sauce is drizzled over the plate ($48). Don’t miss the herb-crusted Halibut Dorato, served with celeriac mash, Chanterelles mushrooms and truffle sauce ($58) or the moreish Il Cervo, a wood-oven venison loin served with root vegetables, hearty buckwheat polenta and truffle jus ($56). Finally, end with a truffle-sweetened dessert by executive pastry chef Sebastien Cocquery-Beraud’s – Cioccolata Bianca Al Tartufo. It features truffle gelato, white chocolate soup and a dash of roasted pumpkin oil ($18). From now till January 2018. 80 Bras Basah Road. Tel: 6431 6156
