Virgilio Martinez Véliz’s ICHU Peru in Hong Kong will open sooner than you think
Great news for Hong Kong foodies: Virgilio Martinez Véliz’s first Asian outpost will hit the city in late July.
Heading to Hong Kong for its summer sale? Well, get ready to not only empty your luggage to stock up on shopping finds but be prepared to pack a serious appetite too. ICHU Peru by culinary maestro Virgilio Martinez Véliz, chef-owner of award-wining restaurant Central in Lima, is set to open in the city late next month.
The chef-owner of award-winning restaurant Central in Lima has partnered with Bulldozer Group to launch his latest F&B venture. ICHU Peru is located at the heartbeat of Hong Kong, H Queen, and will be helmed by executive chef Sang Jeong, who worked at Central for more than three years. The restaurant will be divided into four sections: the main dining room features an island banquette decorated with excavated fossil stone details; a vibrantly coloured bar; an intimate private dining room with raffia panels; and an al fresco terrace. Food-wise, expect generously portioned dishes which will pay tribute to Peru’s natural landscape. 3/F H Queen’s, 80 Queen’s Road, Central. ichu.com.hk
