A Victorian English Afternoon Tea at L’Espresso
Daily afternoon tea at L’Espresso becomes even more decadent from now until 22 July, with the launch of its Victorian English Afternoon Tea promotion.
Along with its signatures favourites of freshly baked scones, soup of the day, pastries and dainty finger sandwiches, the elegant spread offers a hearty spread of newly created English-inspired teatime treats such as the bite-sized cucumber sandwiches; open-faced Coronation Chicken with Mango Chutney and Almonds sandwich; Toad in the Hole; and Treacle Tart. Also flying the English flag high are hot main savouries including Braised Pork with Stout in Hot Pot served with Homemade Brioche; Cottage Pie; Fish and Chips with malt vinegar; and Mini Corned Beef and Leek Quiche.
End the afternoon on an indulgent note with the ample dessert counter, complete with the popular chocolate fountain, cakes and fresh fruit. Traditional British sweet treats include Bread and Butter Pudding; Sticky Toffee Pudding or the Strawberries and Cream Trifle to name just a few.
The themed tea menu is available daily ($45/adult and $22.50/child from Monday – Thursdays; and $48/adult and $24/child from Fridays to Sundays, eve of and on public holidays). Fridays and weekends offer a choice of two seatings for the relaxed afternoon tea, while weekdays have just one seating, so book in advance. Price is inclusive of two servings of freshly brewed coffee or tea from a selection of premium coffee and TWG Tea. Finally, choose to add some bubbles to the pampering afternoon with a glass of champagne ($72/adult from Fridays to Sundays, eve of and on public holidays, or $68/adult from Mondays to Thursdays).
