Why the 19th World Gourmet Festival at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel is a must-do
An illustrious lineup of 13 chefs from Michelin-starred restaurants will descend upon Bangkok for the 19th World Gourmet Festival.
With so many food festivals happening in town, do you even need to travel out of Singapore to enjoy the best of the best dining experiences? The 19th World Gourmet Festival at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, however, is not one to be missed.
The week-long international culinary feast festival takes place from 3 to 9 September. You can expect nothing short of a star-studded guest chef and winemaker lineup that spans the globe from Korea, Japan, Portugal, Italy, France to the U.S. We are talking a mix of top toques from one and two Michelin-starred restaurants, such as Jose Avillez of Belcanto, Bernard Bach of Le Puits Saint-Jacques, Ryohei Hieda of Shoun RyuGin, Luigi Taglienti, and Singapore’s own Han Li Guang of Labyrinth. Every evening, different chefs will take over the kitchen at each of the hotel’s four restaurants to pamper diners’ palates.
An additional feature of this year’s festival is a slew of master cooking classes helmed by the visiting chefs, which participants can sign up for. One of the highlights includes two coveted chocolate sessions by London chocolatier Paul A Young on 4 and 5 September, which will be followed by a chocolate-inspired afternoon tea.
