Illuminating art

A collection of abstract illustrations by Singapore-based artists, Sarah Bridget, Rudy Djoharnaen and Erzan Adam will be displayed in tcc – The Connoisseur Concerto’s ‘The Gallery’ until 2 July. Entitled Illucynation: Opening the Mind’s Eye to Sophie’s World, the exhibition is a representation of Jostein Gaarder’s philosophical novel, Sophie’s World. Like the book, it endeavours to elicit discussions, questions and realisations among its viewers by entering the world of the protagonist. Workshops and storytelling sessions encourage viewers to create their own interpretations of the intriguing philosophical read after, and to deliberate on the seemingly regular world they reside in.  Admission is free. 51 Circular Road.
