InterContinental Bali Resort Appoints New Executive Chef Indrajit Saha

InterContinental Bali Resort enters a refreshed chapter as the Jimbaran landmark appoints Indrajit Saha as its new executive chef, bringing a globally shaped perspective and a deeply mindful approach to the resort’s culinary direction. With a career forged across continents, Chef Indrajit arrives with a clear commitment: to craft dining experiences that balance innovation, sustainability, and wellness without compromising on pleasure.

Chef Indrajit Saha, the new executive chef of InterContinental Bali Resort

Most recently an executive chef at InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Chef Indrajit upholds the farm-to-fork ethos, one that allows indulgence and nourishment to coexist seamlessly on the same plate. With his commitments, his professional journey spans an impressive roster of destinations, including India, the Maldives, St. Lucia, Djibouti, Thailand, Vietnam, the Seychelles, Bahrain, the UAE, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Across these varied culinary landscapes, he has played a pivotal role in revitalising underperforming food and beverage operations, steering them towards renewed success.

His philosophy, which balances indulgence and nourishment, extends beyond the kitchen. A Kolkata native, Chef Indrajit embraces cultural exchange with ease, shaped by life with his Thai wife and daughter. An avid reader and film enthusiast, he draws inspiration from diverse cultures, allowing him to immerse himself fully in every destination he calls home.

Chef Indrajit emphasises wellness and sustainability in his crafts

“We are thrilled to welcome Chef Indrajit to our leadership team,” expressed Abdul Hafid, resort manager of InterContinental Bali Resort. “His global experience, innovative mindset and dedication to sustainability and wellness align perfectly with our resort’s vision to deliver exceptional and mindful dining experiences for our guests.”

For Chef Indrajit, mindfulness is not confined to the kitchen. His personal lifestyle mirrors his culinary values, marked by clean eating habits and a tea- and coffee-free routine that prioritises balance and wellbeing. These choices subtly inform his cooking, resulting in dishes that feel intentional and considered.
