KO Restaurant at InterContinental Bali Resort Unveils New Menu with A Balinese Twist

Nestled in its own Japanese-inspired garden in Jimbaran is one of the most coveted Japanese restaurants in Bali. KO Restaurant, located within InterContinental Bali Resort grounds, announces an array of delicacies with a fresh twist of Balinese flavour in its new menu. This innovative fusion menu promises to tantalise the palates of both seasoned Japanese food enthusiasts and adventurous gourmands alike.

KO Restaurant indoor seating makes an idyllic spot for any occasion

Under the guidance of the culinary maestro, chef Mitsuaki Senoo, dining in the restaurant ensures unforgettable memories of the elevated experience and the lingering characterful flavours. The new menu raises the bar higher, combining the familiar taste of Bali and authentic Japanese.

Hamachi Jalapeno with Sambal Matah, a blend of Japanese and Balinese flavours

Highlights include the Hamachi Jalapeno with Sambal Matah, a dish that delivers an authentic Japanese experience with a surprising kick thanks to the inclusion of the fiery Balinese condiment. Diners can also delve into the Creamy Shrimp Tempura Roll, a delightful fusion creation that pairs crispy tempura prawns with the familiar comfort of a classic California roll.

Another exciting addition to the menu is Robatayaki, a charcoal-grilled offering that showcases local ingredients. This dish comes accompanied by a Bedugul green crisp salad with a trio of dipping sauces: teriyaki, ponzu, and the vibrant Balinese relish, Sambal Matah.

Beyond that, KO Restaurant’s curated set menu is a must-try. Crafted to complete the dining experience, the set menu showcases premium options such as Certified A5 Miyazaki Wagyu and Australian Wagyu Beef Striploin. For a truly immersive experience, snag a seat at the Teppanyaki counter while savouring these smoky fares. Witness the culinary artistry firsthand as the skilled chefs put on a dazzling display of acrobatic Teppanyaki performance, adding a theatrical flair to the meal.

Teppanyaki counter is where the performance unfolds

The restaurant boasts three unique dining areas for diners to feast in a different atmosphere. The Teppanyaki counter comfortably accommodates up to 48 guests, a perfect spot for lively gatherings with large groups. The Sushi Bar, meanwhile, caters for up to 40 guests, offering a choice of comfortable indoor seating or an alfresco terrace, perfect for both friendly gatherings and family meals.

The Tatami Room is perfect for a more intimate celebration

The restaurant also provides an ample Tatami Room for a more intimate setting. The Japanese-style private room allows up to 20 guests to have private celebrations, events, or gatherings. The Tatami Room also provides a serene and focused environment for business meetings and important discussions.

The new fusion menu is available to order daily from 6.30pm to 12am at KO Restaurant, located within the InterContinental Bali Resort.
