On 4 July 2026, Marriott International Bali demonstrated just that as more than 30 Marriott Bonvoy hotels and resorts across Bali, Lombok and Labuan Bajo came together for the Annual Marriott International Bali Charity Golf Day 2026, transforming a day on the greens into a powerful platform for philanthropy. Held under the theme Play with Purpose, the event reaffirmed the group’s long-standing commitment to creating lasting social impact while bringing together industry leaders, business partners and golf enthusiasts for a shared cause.
The day began at New Kuta Golf, where participants competed in a Stroke Play tournament across multiple divisions before the celebrations continued at Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa with an elegant Gala Awards Dinner. More than simply recognising sporting achievements, the evening celebrated the collective generosity of the hospitality community through live entertainment, fundraising activities, auctions and prize presentations.
At the heart of the initiative was a shared mission to support the Bali Children Foundation, Marriott Business Council Bali’s long-standing charitable partner dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for underprivileged children across Bali and surrounding regions. Guided by Marriott International’s global Serve 360: Doing Good in Every Direction platform, the event reflected the company’s commitment to nurturing communities through education, empowerment and meaningful collaboration.
Adding another dimension to this year’s fundraising efforts, Marriott International Bali also introduced an Online Auction, allowing supporters beyond the island to contribute by bidding on exclusive stays across Marriott International properties throughout the Asia Pacific region. The initiative broadened the event’s reach, reinforcing that meaningful giving extends well beyond the golf course itself.
Speaking ahead of the event, Saraswati Subadia, general manager of The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali and chairwoman of Marriott International Bali Charity Golf 2026, described the tournament as a reminder that every swing, every auction bid and every seat at the gala dinner contributes to tangible change in a child’s life. Co-chair I Wayan Raksa, general manager of Renaissance Bali Uluwatu Resort & Spa, likewise highlighted the strength of collaboration across Marriott’s portfolio in supporting education and creating opportunities for future generations. Their vision was brought to life throughout the day, as the hospitality industry rallied behind a cause greater than the game itself.
The event was organised to support community programmes delivered through the Bali Children Foundation.
