Previously known for their French-style breads and sweet pastries such as macarons, chouquettes and tarts, Do.Main Bakery has expanded its menu of French-style offerings. Chef Frederic Deshayes pays homage to French bakers in the olden times by adapting their style of cooking and only using the oven to cook (no open fires).

A dish from the Savoie region of France, the Tartiflette ($16) is a delightful marriage of oven-baked Reblochon cheese, lardons, potatoes and confit onions. The classic Croque Monsieur ($8) is faultlessly executed here, with freshly baked bread and layers of melted cheese. Come back for brunch on a lazy Saturday and tuck into the sharing charcuterie platters ($20) and oeufs de plats, a dish of broken eggs served with mouillettes or toast soldiers.
