Late checkouts, extended breakfasts and more
The Westin Singapore’s weekend program is a Monday blues cure-all.
The Westin Singapore knows the true meaning of a staycation. Its weekend program gives guests more reason to linger languidly, with perks like late Sunday checkouts, extended breakfast hours on Saturday and Sunday, and a complimentary 90-minute Makan Trail (every Sunday, 10am to 1130am) that lets goers sample perennial local favourites around the hotel’s vicinity. Make Joseph Schooling proud by making a stop at Lau Pa Sat for Chai Tow Kway (the blacker the better!), then step into Chong Wen Ge Café within the Thian Hock Keng Temple for an assortment of kuehs. It’s not a local breakfast without kaya toast, so it is off to Amoy Street Food Centre for thin toast slathered with cold butter and coconut jam, as well as expertly fried char kway teow. After the post-prandial coma, there’s nothing more welcome than a long nap before a late checkout. 12 Marina View, Asia Square Tower 2. Tel: 6922 6888
