Best Rooftop Bars and Restaurants in Singapore with Spectacular Views

In a city where space is limited and the pressures of the rat race take its toll, rooftop bars are both a haven and heaven for us. With amazing views, exciting drinks and that cool island breeze, there’s nothing better than to kick back and relax with friends. To save you time, we’ve rounded up the best rooftop bars in Singapore.

Head to Lantern to score the perfect date night.

Lantern
The Fullerton Bay Hotel’s Lantern is one of Singapore’s most stylish and romantic rooftop bars, with a shimmering swimming pool and enthralling panoramic views of the waterfront, Marina Bay Sands, and the mesmerizing Singapore skyline. Come by for sunset cocktails and stick around for front-row seats to the nightly laser and lighting show that plays out of Marina Bay Sands. If there’s only time for one drink, make it the Imperial Berry Mojito ($28), the bar’s signature cocktail made with Blanco Rum, fresh blackberries, mint and Champagne Brut. The Fullerton Bay Hotel Singapore, 80 Collyer Quay. Tel: 6597 5299

Dance your night away to the groovy beats from CÉ LA VI’s in-house DJs.

LA VI
CÉ LA VI Club Lounge accompanies the CÉ LA VI Restaurant and SkyBar at the top of the iconic Marina Bay Sands Hotel towers. Make yourself comfortable on any of the sofa seats along the deck to take in the view of the city or of the Straits of Singapore. If you’d rather stay indoors, splurge on the VIP corner where you’ll be right beside the DJ console and have an overview of the entire Club Lounge. The best time to swing by is during the Sunset Session from 6pm to 9pm where a DJ plays smooth grooves that complement the gorgeous sunset views. Marina Bay Sands, 1 Bayfront Avenue. Tel: 6508 2188

The gorgeous view from 1-Altitude

1-Altitude
Right in the heart of the CBD is where you’ll find the world’s highest alfresco bar – 1-Altitude Gallery Bar is practically vertigo-inducing. Its location at the top of the tallest building in Raffles Place affords such unparalleled and unblocked views of Marina Bay and the sea, the Singapore river, and the glassy skyscrapers of the business district – it’s definitely hard to pick just one spot for the evening. Time your visit for 15 minutes before sunset, grab a refreshing Monster Mojito ($18) from the bar, then walk around the entire place as you watch the city transform, glowing from the warm rays of sunset to shimmering with bright lights as night emerges. Once darkness falls, groove to the music that starts to play or head downstairs to their club, Altimate. One Raffles Place, 1 Raffles Place. Tel: 6438 0410

Come early for seats by the bar at Loof

Loof
One of the earliest rooftop bar venues to spring up on the island, Loof’s longevity is a testament to its delicious and carefully crafted Southeast Asian inspired cocktails as well as addictive bar snacks that have a creative local twists. To beat the heat, ask for the Singapore Sour ($17), the bar’s interpretation of the local favourite lime juice from the coffee shop but with a kick, and fuel up on bar snacks like Ramly Burger ($18), Chilli Crab Cheese Fries ($14) and Babi-que Sliders ($16). 331 North Bridge Road, Odeon Towers.
