Slice of life

Reminiscent of the welcoming caffès which line the fountain-centred city plazas (piazzas) in Rome, Spizza Mercato encircles Capitol Piazza’s Basement 2 water feature. The menu retains Spizza favourites Burratina, thin-crust pizzas and handmade pastas, but will also excite with a new selection that includes Panini Sandwiches, Torta (a small, cheese-rich deep-dish pizza), and the Panzerotti, a mini pizza folded over into a puff.

What’s also new is its mercato (market) concept, also an integral aspect of a traditional piazza. A dedicated takeaway counter serves busy working professionals, while the gourmet retail section is perfect for dinner dos with quality food products, kitchenware and a showcase of Italian wines from 10 different grape varieties. #B2-52 Capitol Piazza, 13 Stamford Road. Tel: 6702 1835
