Star attraction

"I love the look on people’s faces when they first enter the Bazaar," admits José Andrés, “there is this moment of surprise that is then replaced with somehow a kind of confusion."

The US-based celebrity chef, who has garnered a reputation as the ‘ambassador to Spain’ has a number of restaurants under his company, THINKfoodGroup, but the eatery he’s talking about, the two-year-old The Bazaar by José Andrés is the most glamorous of them all. The Philippe Starck designed, multi-faceted food concept space at the SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills somehow escapes definition: traditional small-plates restaurant, molecular avant-guardian, hip watering hole and quaint dessert cafe.
