The Warehouse Hotel: New Staycation Spot along Singapore River

In 1986, Warehouse Disco was one of the most happening places to see and be seen. It was where music-loving youths and young adults flock to and mingle with each other. Fast forward 30 years later, The Warehouse Hotel has taken its place right on the bank of Robertson Quay.

Set to open in December, the boutique hotel will pay nod to Singapore’s heritage and culture in a big way. (The building is, after all, a national heritage site.) All 37 rooms of The Warehouse Hotel will include little décor touches, such as the use of traditional rattan, to remind you of old-school Singapore. You can choose from a menu of six different room categories (Warehouse Loft, River View Loft, River View Room, River View Mezzanine, River View Suit and Warehouse Sanctuary) sizes and room views. To deepen the local connection, almost all the items in the rooms are Singapore-made, from the artworks, guidebooks to the coffee and tea service. The rooms are priced from $255 (with breakfast) per night.

The Warehouse Hotel is run by The Lo & Behold Group, the folks behind Odette, a two Michelin-starred restaurant as well as The Black Swan and The White Rabbit, so you know you are in for a dining treat. They have partnered with chef Willin Low, the founder of Wild Rocket and named as one of Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, to create a unique menu at their 50-seater restaurant.
