Bustling Barcelona
Forget about going to bed early in Barcelona. The city is a non-stop whirlwind of exciting tapas bars, funky neighbourhoods, and pulsating clubs.
Barcelona is getting touristy but it has not lost its vibrant character. It is also more open-minded and accepting of different cultures than other Spanish cities like Madrid. Still, there are places to escape to if you want to be away from the crowds. For example, the nearby El Montseny nature reserve is spectacular in autumn, when the foliage turns into hues of yellow and crimson.
