Framed by the natural beauty of Bali’s southern tip, where craggy shores and pristine sands reside, this new destination is thoughtfully designed to blend with its natural surroundings. Drawing inspiration from the Balinese Gelungan headdress, the structure harmonises contemporary charms in terracotta and green tones with the natural elements of the gravel-strewn beachscape, striking a perfect balance between heritage and modern comfort.
Named after the word uma, which translates to paddy field in Balinese, the beachfront venue underscores the essence of life, growth, and connection. The semi-al fresco setting enhances the connection to nature and creates a welcoming space that fosters a sense of community.
Vibrant flavours of Nikkei cuisine dominate the kitchen. Each dish promises a delightful bite of Japanese artistry and Peruvian zest, using locally sourced produce from fisheries in Sanur and farms in Ungasan and Kintamani.
The highlights start with Japanese Romain, where crispy baby romaine leaves meet smoky bacon, Parmigiano, Katsuobushi flakes, and a zesty wasabi anchovy dressing. For sharing, the White Fish Ceviche brings together barramundi, coconut lime, fresh cilantro, and sweet corn chips, offering a refreshing twist on a classic.
The “Land & Sea” selection features the Mushroom Anticucho, a smoky grilled mushroom dish complemented by anticucho sauce, classic chimichurri, and fries. As for the sea part of the menu, Gambas al Ajillo serves spicy prawns infused with garlic and coriander paired with regenerative steamed rice.
For dessert, savour the creamy Suspiro a la Limeña, a caramel pudding topped with port meringue and a hint of Kintamani lime. Alternatively, indulge in the tropical Pitahaya, a refreshing blend of dragon fruit, hibiscus, and soursop sorbet. A dedicated kids’ menu ensures little ones are catered for as well.
Uma Beach House sets the stage for unforgettable sunset cocktail sessions at Umana Bali with its signature drinks. Some of the must-tries are Yuzu Glow Sunset, blending kaffir lime gin, yuzu, vanilla, and citrus with soda, while Coral by the Bay offers a spiced mix of citrus vodka, apricot brandy, and tamarillo. For a fragrant sip, UMA Harmony Fizz blends Mancino sakura vermouth, elderflower, and orange rose sparkling wine.
