Matter of Taste brings in 100-pointer wines
Conceived and started in Singapore, Robert Parker Wine Advocate’s annual wine event is back for its third year. Matter of Taste 2016 brings together 150 wines rated 90 points and above for consumers to taste during a seven-hour walkabout, while three 100-pointer wines will be showcased at selected Masterclasses and wine dinners.

Icons of Italy Dinner at OSO Ristorante
This dinner to remember is conducted by Wine Advocate Reviewer Monica Larner, an expert in Italian wines, together with Patrick Lachapelle of Ornellaia and Alessandro Mori of Il Marroneto. Expect to taste Marroneto’s Brunello di Montalcino Madonna Delle Grazie (RP100), as well as Ornellaia 2006 (RP97) and Pio Cesare’s Barolo Ornato (RP95), beautifully showcased by chef Diego Chiarini’s fine Italian repast.

The main event hall looks like a regular wine event, with booths set up by distributors such as Grand Vin and ewineasia. However, the wines selected for this event are rated 90 points and above, helping you to go straight to the top. Pace yourself as you sample highlights such as the Kinheimer Hubertuslay Riesling Auslese 2013 (RP97) and Growers’ Champagnes, a category of boutique wineries making craft Champagne in small batches. If you like what you taste, you can arrange to buy the wines from the local distributors. Drops of Gold Masterclass
Meet Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate Reviewer and expert in German and Austrian wines, as he walks wine lovers through a stellar list of wines including Markus Molitor’s Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Auslese Three Star 2011 (RP100). Late harvest wines from Germany and Austria are aptly nicknamed drops of gold, due to their high concentration, sweetness and complexity. Wines such as Malat Pinot Blanc Noble Trockenbeerenauslese 2006 (RP92-93) will also demonstrate the aging potential of this style.
