‘Tis the season to be jolly, and already Singapore’s many shopping malls and hotels are starting to sport festive shades of red, green and gold. At Carlton Hotel Singapore, a 14-feet tall fully decorated pine tree and life-sized gingerbread house takes centrestage in the festive lobby, invoking the warm, inviting feel of a traditional Christmas celebration. Cafe Mosaic’s buffet line gets a delicious makeover. Roasted Whole Turkey and Honey Baked Ham are the highlights of the spread along with other Christmas classics like Lamb Chop with Rosemary and Mint Pepper Sauce, Braised Pork Roulade, and Buttered Brussels Sprouts with Winter Vegetables. The Yuletide spread is complemented by the fresh seafood on ice, consisting of oysters, baby lobsters, crayfish, scallops and prawns, and finished with traditional Christmas sweets.
