Meet Bali’s Two New Pastry Chefs
The culinary scene in Bali is getting more vibrant with two new pastry chefs from The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and Padma Resort Legian.
Bali has one of the most vibrant gastronomic experiences in the region. Thanks to talents that grace the island, there is no shortage of pastries, cakes, and desserts to taste. Meet Bali’s two new accomplished pastry chefs and taste their sweet creations at The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali and Padma Resort Legian.
Executive Pastry Chef Antonio Yang – The Westin Resort Nusa Dua, Bali
Nusa Dua’s beachfront luxury resort recently appointed a new executive pastry chef to elevate the resort’s culinary offerings. With Italian, French, and Asian flairs, executive pastry chef Antonio Yang dishes out intricately crafted sweets that showcase his passion for pastry-making.
The Taiwanese chef previously worked as a graphic designer until he found his way to the culinary scene and earned his Diplome de Patisserie from Le Cordon Bleu Paris in Taiwan. He also gained several other titles, namely Master Gelatiere from the Carpigiani Gelato University in Bologna, Italy; and a Baking Arts and Science diploma from the Cerealtech School of Baking Technology in Singapore.
Yang’s dessert creations garnered the attention of many as he worked as an executive pastry chef throughout Asia Pacific. His esteemed skills obtained him The Michelin Plate 2021 for maintaining good cooking standards, and he became the Executive Pastry Chef Consultant for Brasserie 1893 at Waldorf Astoria Beijing.

Executive Pastry Chef Pang Yoon Hwa – Padma Resort Legian
Padma Resort Legian welcomed its new executive pastry chef Pang Yoon Hwa to the stage, bringing a new dimension to the resort’s flavours. With his two decades of experience, including nine years of serving in a Michelin-starred restaurant at Marina Bay Sands, guests can expect top-notch creations that appeal to the taste buds.
Having spent twenty years mastering the craft of pastries and desserts has given the Malaysia-born chef numerous accolades such as 1st runner-up of Singapore Bakery & Confectionary Championship, gold medal awardee of Asian Gelato Cup, and recognised as “Best Mentor” by Sunrise Academy in Singapore.
From creamy to fruity delights, guests are in for an extensive array of desserts at Padma Resort Legian’s The Deli. Chef Pang’s masterful crafts can be seen in his Double Cheesecake, resembling a block of cheese and Black Forest Cake in a mushroom shape. Creamy and bold-flavoured gelato like Avocado, Peanut Butter, Earl Grey, and Mango Sorbet are also available.
