From Vittoria in Sicily comes this acclaimed natural wine, made with indigenous yeast and unfiltered. Arianna Occhipinti Sp68 Rosso 2014 comprises 70% Frappato and 30% Nero d’Avola, a confident marriage of the elegant floral notes of the former, and rich cherry and red fruit of the latter. Cult winemaker Occhipinti is focused on saving old vines and farming organically, and it shows in the very pure, vivid tipple, smoothly structured with loads of balanced acidity. The label has just been introduced to Singapore, and makes for an excellent introduction to natural winemaking. $59 from http://www.itwineclub.com
