TravMedia’s IMM Asia 2026 once again provided a platform for the people and brands shaping the region’s travel narrative. Held over two days at Suntec Singapore, the annual media networking event brought together 135 travel journalists, editors and content creators from 14 Asia-Pacific countries with 160 representatives from international travel brands, facilitating conversations and collaborations for the year ahead.
Concluded on 20 October 2026, the event recorded more than 2,500 pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings, alongside professional development opportunities and networking sessions. Representatives from Greater China, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, India and Australia met with destinations, hotel groups, cruise lines, airlines and tour operators from around the world, exchanging ideas, exploring potential press trips and identifying new editorial opportunities. The gathering also welcomed an impressive roster of media professionals representing some of the industry’s most recognised publications.
Following The TravMedia Summit, IMM Asia offered participating brands direct access to journalists and editors influencing travel coverage across the Asia-Pacific region. The format provided an efficient setting for tourism boards, hospitality groups and travel businesses to introduce their latest developments, establish media relationships and develop stories with regional and international reach.
“IMM Asia continues to grow in scale and significance, thanks to the quality of attendees,” said Nick Wayland, CEO and founder of TravMedia. Reflecting on the two-day gathering, he highlighted the resulting press trips, editorial stories and long-term partnerships, underscoring the event’s role in helping the travel industry build more effective working relationships.
Beyond its business meetings, IMM Asia 2026 also celebrated outstanding contributions to travel journalism, content creation and public relations through the TravMedia Awards Asia 2026. Presented during the event’s luncheon, the awards recognised professionals and organisations across eight categories.
Among the public relations categories, Jesmine Hall, Director of Commercial Marketing at Raffles Hotel Singapore, received the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Daphne Tan, Director of Consumer Communications, Asia Pacific at Hilton, was named PR Professional of the Year. Tourism Fiji’s Greater China team received PR Team of the Year, with the category sponsored by Travel Lifestyle Network.
The programme continued beyond the meeting rooms with the official IMM Asia Cocktail Reception, hosted by Sofitel Singapore City Centre. Following a full day of industry exchanges, delegates gathered for an evening celebrating the intersection of French hospitality and Singapore’s contemporary cultural identity.
Maud Bailly, CEO of Sofitel, Sofitel Legend, MGallery and Emblems, shared updates on the brands, offering guests a glimpse into their ongoing evolution. The reception also featured a preview of Sofitel’s new Vestiaire collection, marking another expression of the brand’s creative direction.
Adding to the evening’s atmosphere, Pommery Champagne accompanied the celebration, highlighting Sofitel’s signature blend of French elegance and contemporary luxury.
The event was made possible through the support of a range of hospitality and travel partners, including YOTEL, the headline sponsor of The TravMedia Summit; Pan Pacific Hotel Singapore, which hosted the opening cocktail reception; and Sofitel Singapore City Centre, host of the closing reception. Meliá Hotels International supported the coffee cart, while Travel Lifestyle Network sponsored the event lanyards and TravMedia Awards. Activation partners included Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, The Capitol Kempinski Hotel Singapore and Centara Reserve, alongside additional hotel partners.
With another successful edition concluded, IMM Asia continues to reinforce its position as an important meeting point for the travel media and tourism industry across the region. The event will return to Suntec Singapore on 18 and 19 October 2027, bringing together another gathering of journalists, content creators and international travel brands to explore the stories and partnerships shaping the future of travel.
