The sixties come swinging back at Azur Restaurant this August. The buffet restaurant will present a 1960s themed special menu inspired by iconic Singaporean dishes done with a twist. A pasar malam snack counter will offer delicious small bites like steamed tutu kueh, and goreng pisang. $50 for brunch, $65 for dinner. Available from 6-10 August. Executive sous chef Ryan Dadulfaza of The Line at Shangri-La Hotel puts a modern and quirky spin on culinary tradition, preparing reinterpretations of local dishes using molecular methods. These include: Singapore Chicken Rice presented in a sushi roll, Braised Pork Cheek and Bak Kut Teh Spice Tube, and Durian Nitro Ice Cream. A highlight would be the Singapore Chilli Crab To-Go, where the popular local dish is served in the form of a moist sponge cake.  Available during dinner from 1-31 August. $76 every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, $88 every Friday and Saturday. Tablescape will be launching the Singapore Tapestry Buffet ($50), which will feature an array of local dishes representing the best of Indian, Malay, and Chinese cuisines. Lime Patisserie celebrates Singapore’s Golden Jubilee with a limited edition HeartsSG cake ($50). Designed to resemble our little red dot on the map, it is made up of luscious layers of red velvet and cream cheese, and decorated with familiar icons such as the Merlion and Esplanade.
