FHA returns
This year’s edition of Food&Hotel Asia, to be held from 17 to 20 April, promises to be bigger and better.
Every two years, over 87,000 square metres of space at Singapore EXPO is transformed into a place where exhibitors from more than 65 countries congregate for a convention of five food and hospitality trade shows. The biennial event, known as Food&Hotel Asia (FHA), encompasses all the significant sectors of the industries: FoodAsia, HotelAsia, HospitalityStyleAsia, Hospitality Technology and Bakery&Pastry. In 2010, a staggering 52,000 attendees thronged the nine halls while international trade players showcased their latest products and services. This year’s edition, which will be held from 17 to 20 April, promises to be even bigger and better. The plenitude of food and drink exhibits provides trade professionals in the F&B industry with a diverse platform for all their sourcing needs and in tandem, the latest designs and styles in glassware, crystals, tableware and cutlery will be on full display. With technical solutions such as digital valet and concierge services to streamline operations, Adding on to the bustling forum are a series of competitions, where chefs, pastry maestros and baristas vie for the title of Asia’s best. These include the Imperial Challenge, the Asia Barista Championship, and Asian Pastry Cup, a precursor to Lyon’s World Pastry Cup in 2013. Excerpt from the March issue of epicure.
