Good things come in pairs at KUVO

Multi-concept restaurant and bar KUVO has launched a new small plates menu and bespoke cocktail pairings available in the evenings from Thursday to Saturday. Diners will also be entertained by an acoustic band. A key highlight is the warm and unctuous Kurobuta Yakiniku Donburi ($16). This is paired with Tales of Shu ($21), a hot brew of Tengumai sake and Lillet Blanc that is infused with orange peel via a glass vacuum coffee maker. This brings to mind a chilly night spent under a comforting Japanese kotatsu, or a heated table covered by a futon. Other standout duos are English Scotch Egg ($14) with Captain B.R. ($21; Earl Grey infused Rum, fresh lemon and soda water) and returning favourite KUVO Coffee Hot Wings ($14) with Brewski Yen ($21; Kirin beer, Suze, lemon and ginger ale).
