Eat your way through Kumamoto, Hyogo, Saitama and Tokyo, except this time you don’t need to hop on a shinkansen, or even a plane, to do it. Oishii Japan 2013—Asia’s first dedicated food and beverage exhibition showcasing a multitude of gourmet delights from the Land of the Rising Sun—returns for the second year, with epicure as the event's official gourmet magazine. Organised by OJ Events, it will be held at Suntec Singapore from 17 to 19 October, allowing trade professionals to meet and build rapport with Japanese suppliers from more than 250 companies—the public can attend the exhibition on the last day (admission fee of $4). Gyoren Hokko, a Hokkaido wholesale company known for its produce like dried scallops and sea kelp; Ebara Foods Industry, a Kanagawa-based manufacturer of sauces and soup stocks; and Marin Food, an Osaka-based manufacturer of margarine and cheese, are a few of the many exhibitors returning to Oishii Japan this year. Niigata Industrial Creation Organisation will also showcase its range of high quality glassware and coffee and matcha tea sets.
