Leaf it up

T2

What it is: Australia’s luxury tea brand, T2, which has finally set up shop here. From its humble beginnings in Melbourne 20 years ago, T2 is now sold globally and the Singapore outpost, its first in Asia, boasts an extensive library of over 150 quality teas and herbal tisanes, alongside a collection of eclectic teawares. We love: The sleek concept. The brews are beautifully smooth, and flavours range from classics to the unexpected. Among our favourites are the Blue Mountain ($16), a gorgeous bouquet of vanilla-scented black tea with pretty cornflowers and floral overtones; New York Breakfast ($16), a full-bodied black tea with cinnamon and vanilla notes, and the sold-out Singapore Breakfast ($19), which is inspired by kaya toast. A blend of pu erh and green tea, it’s redolent of roasted rice, caramelised coconut and sweet pandan. Want to up your tea game? Check out the T2 Teamaker ($38) and Matcha Flask ($50), two nifty contraptions that make brewing your favourite sips a breeze.

Where: T2, #01-20, 313@Somerset, 313 Orchard Road. Tel: 6835 7085
