Mediterranean Heat Heightened at Tall Trees Restaurant, The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali

Tall Trees Restaurant, one of the dining destinations at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali turns up the heat this month with a newly curated premium menu. Known for its zesty, fire-kissed Mediterranean cuisine, the restaurant now unveils a refined experience where Mediterranean zest dances with Balinese soul in its Semi Fine Dining Mediterranean and Local Dinner Experience.

Tall Trees Restaurant at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali

Perched on the resort’s first level overlooking an infinity pool that seems to merge with the forest canopy, the restaurant has long stood as a culinary highlight in Ubud. True to its ethos, it continues to deliver a premium dining experience for both in-house guests and visiting diners. This time, the culinary team takes things further by spotlighting locally sourced ingredients at their seasonal best, crafted with Mediterranean techniques to create dishes bursting with flavour and flair.

Grilled Octopus reimagines the classic Mediterranean

The menu celebrates Mediterranean classics with a local essence: Grilled Octopus paired with yellow lentil purée, charred onion, and lemon dressing; Pan-Seared Duck Breast with pumpkin purée that wafts with cinnamon scent, green asparagus, red shallot confit, and rosemary sauce; and Crispy Skin Salmon Fillet served with sweet corn potato mash, sautéed spinach, fennel-ginger torch salad, and lemon butter sauce.

An indulgent option for vegetarians, Grilled Eggplant

Vegetarians are well catered for too. The Grilled Eggplant is a bright medley of vegetable couscous, feta crumble, cashew nuts, and fresh herbs, while the Wild Mushroom Cappuccino comforts with its creamy mushroom soup crowned by milk foam, cumin dust, and a crisp grissini stick.

A succulent serving of Wagyu Tokusen Ribeye

When a kitchen plays with wood fire and slow roasting, the meat dishes inevitably steal the spotlight. Tokusen Wagyu Beef offers prime cuts – tenderloin, ribeye, or tomahawk – served with truffle mashed potato, green beans, and golden onion rings. For a taste of the sea, the indulgent Lobster Thermidor features bamboo lobster filled with a creamy cheese and mushroom sauce, paired with baby romaine salad.

Lobster Thermidor, seafood elevated with a velvety, creamy filling

The menu in Semi Fine Dining Mediterranean and Local Dinner Experience by Tall Trees Restaurant at The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, Bali is a thoughtful curation of timeless flavours with a local touch, ideal for intimate dinners or lively celebrations alike. To sweeten the experience, Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and redeem points while dining, even without a stay at the resort.
