Michelin Guide Singapore 2022: Full List of Winners

Celebrating its 6th anniversary this year, the Michelin Guide Singapore returned with a physical event yesterday for its annual star revelation.The ceremony saw a total of 52 restaurants receiving stars, an increase from 49 restaurants in 2021.

New entrants to the one-Michelin-star category

First-time entrants to the coveted list are: modern Australian barbecue restaurant Burnt Ends; Euphoria, helmed by chef Jason Tan (formerly of Corner House fame); Japanese restaurant Hamamoto; La Dame de Pic at Raffles Hotel; Marguerite by chef-owner Michael Wilson; modern Korean restaurant Nae:um and French-Japanese restaurant Rêve.

Praised by the Michelin Guide inspectors for his excellent, non-pretentious execution of modern Korean cooking, chef Louis Han of Nae:um also took home the Young Chef award.

A total of 35 restaurants retained their one-star, including Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle, which has adorned this accolade since 2016 and was the only hawker on the list last night.

Drop-outs from the one-star list were Corner House, Garibaldi, and Shinji by Kanesaka at St Regis (the Carlton Hotel outlet retained its star).

Meanwhile, Cloudstreet and Thevar levelled up to two stars, joining all five of last year’s two-star recipients who retained their status.

Expectations remained sky-high for Les Amis and Odette, who have each maintained the highest possible accolade of three stars since 2019. Both restaurants retained their three stars this year, alongside Zén which received its first three-starred distinction last year.

In addition, two new special awards were introduced this year. Samantha Goh of two-Michelin-starred Saint Pierre is the winner of this year’s Welcome & Service Award, which recognises outstanding service staff in the dining industry. Eric Eu of Les Amis received the Sommelier Award.
