Negroni Week 2021 is happening now till end of September

For the seventh year running, Negroni Week is back.

It celebrates 100 years of Negroni at 40 bars and restaurants across town where the iconic cocktail is presented in a multitude of amber-coloured renditions. This year, the event extends its usual one week run till the end of September.

At Raffles Hotel, try the classic recipe – equal part Campari, gin, and sweet red vermouth – and the seven inspired creations on the special Negroni Week cocktail. You will find the Vihara ($23) – a nod to Sri Lanka with Colombo gin, spice, and sandalwood in the mix and Japanese -flavoured Hanafubuki( $23), a smooth floral iteration with Nikka Coffey gin, cherry, yuzu, Campari and Mancino cherry blossom.

The menu is available at all four establishments – Writers Bar, Long Bar, Raffles Courtyard and Osteria BBR by Alain Ducasse. Raffles Hotel is giving away a bottle of Negroni to guests with stamps from all four bars.

In Tanjong Pagar, the new Italian osteria Gio offers six versions of Negroni, including Negroni Sbagliato($18), which calls for prosecco instead of gin. Roxy is going all the way with You don’t have to put on that red light($23), a mezcal-twist to the classic and a party box of three-bottle negroni flight ($135), as is Smokes and Mirrors, delivering a flight of four- a classic and three special riffs ($50).

If cocktails do not entice you, try out a negroni-inspired beer at Good Luck Beer Bar. Created by Singapore brewery The General Brewing Co. and the Heart of Darkness, the Dark Corner Negroni Ale is infused with Campari and a selection of botanicals traditionally found in gin.

A Campari and Imbibe magazine initiative, the event supports a diverse range of causes. This year, more than ever, Negroni week supports a revival of our ailing F&B sector rocked by Covid-19 and the ensuing lockdowns.
