Stay home parties and cocktails from these clubs

While most restaurants and some bars have reopened during Singapore’s Phase 2, the music and entertainment industry can’t resume their activities yet.

Zouk has taken the logical step of reopening their spacious Capital Lounge second floor space as a 100-seater restaurant named Capital Kitchen, with the unusual restriction of a minimum 18-year-old age requirement. One-for-one house pours, ladies night and a Sunday brunch add to the club dining experience as you nosh on Red Tail Bar and Zouk’s in-house creations such as fiery gamberi aglio olio ($25) based on their CEO’s recipe, and the signature royal broth congee ($15) with roast duck. As the Zouk portfolio also includes Five Guys Singapore, you might see future crossover offerings on the revolving menu.

And aside from Zouk’s take home bottled cocktails with a local flair, they have also partnered up with HUGO to support the local music industry. The first in the collaboration is a limited edition HUGO x Zouk Capsule t-shirt and Red no.9 cocktail ($99). The shirt can be personalised and features the Zouk eye branding with HUGO colour blocking, while the cocktail incorporates nutmeg in a strong, spirit-forward sipper over ice. 10% of the proceeds will go to SGMUSO (the Music Society, Singapore) which supports and empowers Singaporeans who make music. At Nineteen80, the Eighties themed club by Phat Cat Collective, the parties continue at home with a  creative slew of concepts, including virtual trivia nights, 80s-themed work out sessions and stay home boogie livestreams, complete with I-MISS-YOU-NINETEEN80 alcohol deliveries. Choose from refreshing Purple Rain with Yakult and blue curacao, or throwback Long Island Ice Tea (each pack $32 for two portions). If you haven’t tried, their Peanut Butter & Jelly shooters ($24 for 12 shooters) are berry delicious with black raspberry liqueur, hazelnut liqueur, vodka and cranberry juice. Not related to drinks but lustworthy all the same are their genius idea of 80s-themed face masks ($15), with Space Invaders, Paradisco and more prints that will keep you smiling through these difficult times.
