Suwarga Garden Opens as New Versatile Wedding Venue in Bali

Mövenpick Resort & Spa Jimbaran Bali marked the opening of Suwarga Garden on 25 September with “Garden of Four Wonders”, showcasing the garden as wedding and celebration venue inspired by four cultures. Bringing together wedding organisers, travel agents, corporate partners, government representatives, media, and Accor colleagues, the celebration offered a first look at how the new wedding venue in Bali could take on different identities.

Deriving from the word suwarga which translates to heaven, Suwarga Garden is built around a seven-metre waterfall and unfolds across five areas: The Banyan Court, The Pavilion, The Cascading Lawn, The Lawn Court, and The Waterfall Court.

Together, the spaces can accommodate between 50 and 1,250 guests, allowing ceremonies, receptions, and dinners to move between settings as the celebration progresses. For couples considering a new wedding venue in Bali, that flexibility means the garden can shift from an intimate ceremony to a large-scale reception.

The opening evening brought this versatility to life through a series of styled celebrations. The Banyan Court took on an elegant international wedding setting, while The Lawn Court became an Indian celebration complete with a decorated mandap. At The Cascading Lawn, a cascading water wall framed a Chinese tea ceremony-inspired setting, while The Pavilion was dressed with flowers, flowing drapery, and an oversized wedding cake. Each setting offered a different interpretation of the new wedding venue in Bali, while remaining connected by the garden’s tropical landscape.

The evening began with cocktails, light bites, and saxophone melodies before a couple’s dance at 6.20pm led guests towards The Waterfall Court for the main celebration. General Manager Jan Kroeckel welcomed guests with opening remarks before dinner brought together Indonesian and Balinese favourites with Indian specialities from Ganesha ek Sanskriti.

Entertainment continued with an Indian dance performance by Nitrous Dance. The celebration then moved into its finale with a 12-minute drone show by STAL & WAP, followed by door prizes and fireworks over Jimbaran.

For those planning a wedding in Bali, the new venue also benefits from the resort’s wider event facilities. Weather contingencies can be accommodated at the 420-square-metre Akasa Ballroom or Anarasa Restaurant.

To mark the launch, couples booking their next wedding or celebration can also receive 10% off their next celebration. Located around 15 minutes from the airport, Suwarga Garden gives Bali another outdoor setting for celebrations, with enough flexibility for each gathering to take on its own character.
