Wine down fridays

For a delightful end to a busy week, join The Wine Apprentice, a new series by Hilton Singapore that teaches the finer points of wine appreciation. Three interactive wine classes will be conducted over consecutive Fridays from 5.30pm to 7pm on 26 August, 2 and 9 September by hotel sommelier Stephanie Rigourd. Held at il Cielo, the weekly sessions will present up to five different wines against scenic views of the city skyline on the 24^th level.

Fundamentals beginning with Bordeaux ▪ 26 August
Understand the basics about wine and its characteristics through Bordeaux

Old and New World Wines ▪ 2 September
Learn about winemaking styles and differentiate between Old and New world wines

Discerning Tasting Notes ▪ 9 September
Distinguish the colours, aromas and tastes of wines and make sense of wine labels
