A grand celebration
Make a rousing toast to our nation’s 46th birthday with a high tea of local delights, an alfresco barbecue, Cantonese brunch or uniquely Singapore cakes. Pan Pacific has them all.
Pan Pacific’s Harmonious High-Tea ($46) on 9 August pays tribute to our multi-racial society with a spread featuring Chinese, Malay, Indian, Peranakan and Eurasian favourites. Diners whose birthday falls on the same day dine free with every three paying guests. A Birthday Barbecue Bash ($48) will be held on the same night at Brunch’s alfresco area with an array of freshly grilled meats and an unparalleled view of the National Day Parade’s fireworks. August celebrants will enjoy a 20 percent discount.
For a lighter meal, Hai Tien Lo’s set lunches and dinners or dim sum brunch (from $58, available till 9 August) are a good bet. If you don’t intend on making the trek back home after all the festivities, check in the Deluxe Room for a night ($280) and enjoy a languorous stay with breakfast for two and a 4pm check out. Don’t leave without stopping by The Atrium for a mango-soursop Merlion or Chempedak Cake ($46). The tropical confections make great gifts for foreign friends to get in on the festivities.
