, Spring feverSpinelli Coffee Company's Cranberry Orange Dome Cake
Instead of your usual nian gao, try the coffee company’s Cranberry Orange Dome Cake ($4 per slice, $43 for 1.5kg). It’s a festive twist to the western fruit cake, with less sugar content and a lighter density, so you don’t pack on the pounds during the celebratory season.
Available from 3 January to 3 April at all Spinelli outlets.

The Song of India's Indian Yu Sheng Platter
There’s no lack of tandoori-infused creations from chef Milind Sovani’s kitchen: to welcome the rabbit year, he’s injected the reunion dish with a medley of tandoori-seasoned ingredients—smoked salmon, fennel scallops, broccoli, apple, pineapple and smoked sweet potato. There’s a mild peppery touch to this Lunar New Year staple.
Available  for lunch and dinner from 3 to 6 February at 33 Scotts Road. Tel: 6836 0055

, Spring feverFurama Riverfront's Bebek Betutu (Smoked Duck on Banana Leaf)
Kintamani Indonesian restaurant brings back their popular Bebek Betutu ($35) of yesteryear, a Balinese traditional communal dish that’s usually reserved for special occasions, for 2011’s Spring Festival jamboree. The whole duck is stuffed with fragrant cassava leaves and various Balinese spices, then smoked, producing a feast of tender, savoury meat.
Available from 2 to 4 February at Furama Riverfront, 405 Havelock Road, 3rd floor. Tel: 6739 6463
