New Chinese Hot Pot Restaurant in Bali

The Apurva Kempinski Bali’s new Chinese hot pot restaurant, Bai Yun

The Nusa Dua’s majestic beachfront resort has done it again. After the successes of Koral Restaurant and Izakaya by OKU, The Apurva Kempinski Bali just opened another dining destination this month. Bai Yun, which means “white cloud” in Mandarin, encourages conviviality and togetherness in an elegant setting. After all, there is no better way to bring your family or friends together than an intimate hot pot dining experience.

Situated near the reception area, Bai Yun’s dark interior is designed in contemporary Chinese flair. The communal round tables with lazy susans, wicker-backed elbow dining chairs, thick carpet which evokes floating steam from the hot pots create the perfect backdrop for a memorable dinner. True to Kempinski White Glove Services guideline, tables are safely distanced from one another and you will be thrilled to find out that each guest receives their own individual hot pot. Apart from the obvious hygiene benefit, there is no more need for debate over soup preferences.

Fresh and premium ingredients of Bai Yun Restaurant at The Apurva Kempinski Bali

Open daily from 6pm to 10pm, the family-friendly restaurant dining serves three kinds of soup bases: Chicken Herbal, Pork Collagen and Vegetarian. A myriad of premium-quality beef, fresh seasonal vegetables and mushrooms, freshly caught seafood, house-made chicken and beef meatballs, tofu and noodles are continuously served until you say stop. From thin strips of Black Angus Striploin Beef to jumbo Tiger Prawn, dip them into the hot pot and adjust the seasoning. Pick the condiments from a dedicated cart topped with Szechuan pepper sauce, fried garlic oil, XO sauce, and many more.

Led by Bai Yun’s executive chef Ho Weng Kit with more than 23 years of international culinary career, you are invited to embark on a culinary sojourn to China. With international travel ban still in place, gourmet adventure is truly the cure to wanderlust. The restaurant offers two menu packages: Bali Myna (Rp588,000/person) and Bali White Swiftlet (Rp888,000/person). A special Panda Kid Menu is also available for the little ones at Rp288,000/child. Enhance the meal with baijiu-inspired cocktails such as Dragon Spritz (Rp165,000) or add the Bottomless Beverage package (Rp500,000/person) with selected beer, baijiu, wine, and sparkling wine menu.
