Maggie Joan's Kitchen Takeovers returns for 2017, this time with Turkish chef Maksut Aşkar making his debut in Singapore with a two-night exclusive dinner ($95 per person). Chef Aşkar’s take on Anatolian cuisine is the perfect opportunity for diners to try traditional, authentic Turkish flavours with contemporary interpretations. An advocate of using forgotten ingredients, Aşkar regularly works with farmers and small-scale producers to cultivate traditional supplies for his renowned restaurant Neolokal in Istanbul. The menu at Maggie Joan’s will feature an exclusive curation of Neolokal classics such as slow cooked Üveyik, ancient Turkish wheat Aşkar had cultivated himself, which is then cooked for seven hours with leeks and onions. The Kitchen Takeover with chef Maksut Aşkar will be held on 24 and 25 February. 110 Amoy Street. Tel: 6221 5564
