Wine and the seaside make a natural pairing, and this September, Byrd House Bali brings the two together once again with the fourth edition of its annual Byrd Wine Carnival. Taking place on Saturday, 19 September 2026, the beachfront celebration invites wine enthusiasts, food and lifestyle lovers and Bali’s social crowd to gather over an evening of tastings, music and entertainment on Sanur’s coastline.

Now in its fourth edition, Byrd Wine Carnival Vol. 4 brings together five participating wine brands and more than 20 selections from renowned wine-producing regions around the world to Sanur. Rather than approaching wine tasting as a formal affair, the event is designed to be easy-going and social, offering guests the opportunity to explore different wine styles and flavour profiles while enjoying the laid-back atmosphere of Byrd House Bali.

An evening of wine by the sea

The main tasting session runs from 5pm to 8pm, giving guests three hours of unlimited wine tasting. With more than 20 wines to discover, the experience is an opportunity to sample a variety of styles and regions in one setting, perhaps finding a new favourite along the way.

The wine experience, however, is only part of the evening. Byrd Wine Carnival is conceived as a celebration of food, music, community and entertainment, with the beachfront setting adding an appropriately relaxed backdrop as the afternoon gives way to evening.

Entertainment throughout the event includes live DJ sets, flamenco performances, a cabaret show, interactive games, bar takeovers and bartender flair. A 360-degree spin photo booth will also offer guests a playful way to capture the occasion.

Instead of a traditional wine event centred solely on tasting notes and appellations, Byrd House Bali brings wine into a livelier social setting. Its culinary offering spans Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, including Italian dishes made with local produce, alongside a second eatery serving handcrafted Indonesian and Japanese dishes. The patisserie produces artisan pastries, gelato and coffee in-house, while the bar serves creative cocktails and martinis.

For those seeking a more intimate drinking experience, Byrd House Bali is also set to introduce a speakeasy lounge featuring fine wines, curated cocktails and light bites. For one evening, however, the focus turns firmly to wine.
