Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort Launches Catch & Grill

Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort is introducing Catch & Grill, a new ocean-to-table experience that turns a morning at sea into a beachfront lunch at Toya Beach Bar & Grill. Designed for guests who want something more active than a standard resort meal, the programme combines a private fishing trip, light refreshments, and a three-course seafood lunch prepared from the morning’s catch.

The day begins at 7am, when guests depart on a local boat for a private fishing excursion along Bali’s coastline. The pace is simple: a quiet morning on the water, snacks and bottled water on board, and time to try catching fresh seafood before returning to the resort around noon. It is less about high-adrenaline sport and more about the pleasure of being out at sea early, when the island feels softer and the day has not yet gathered pace.

Once back on land, the experience continues at Toya Beach Bar & Grill, where Sofitel Bali’s culinary team turns the catch into a specially crafted three-course lunch. Served with views of the Indian Ocean, the meal gives the experience its full arc: what begins as a fishing trip ends at the table, with seafood prepared close to where it was caught.

That link between activity and dining is the main appeal. Catch & Grill is not simply a seafood lunch, and it is not only a boat trip. It sits somewhere between the two, using the morning’s excursion to give the meal a clearer sense of place. For travellers staying in Nusa Dua, it offers a different way to experience the coastline beyond swimming, sunbathing, or the usual beachfront dinner.

The package includes the private fishing trip, refreshments during the excursion, a welcome drink upon arrival back at the resort, and the three-course lunch. It is designed for couples, though additional guests can be added, making it suitable for small groups or families looking for a shared daytime experience.

As with any sea-based activity, the programme depends on daily weather and ocean conditions. Departures are subject to the captain’s final assessment, and guests will be informed in advance about the designated departure point.

For special occasions, slow holiday mornings, or travellers who prefer experiences with a little story behind them, Catch & Grill gives Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua a fresh dining proposition: one that begins on the water and ends with a table by the beach.
